Default Week end 26th April report

April 26, 2010
most of the week again was dominated by weather systems and rain and gales made up the most. Those who were undeterred did enjoy some very good fishing, especially later on in the days as fish came up to the top,as winds died down.Cdc,s and emerger patterns worked very well, beetles, snatchers and very little lures apart from a damsel worked well.Blues showed up in bags and are fit and are fighting hard,so dont use lightish nylon.Slater Scott landed the best of the week with a 7lb 14oz fish, closely followed by Bill French with a 7lb 13oz,ben Grundie had a good day with 18 fish and retruened 2 estimated at over 8lbs,Barry Oldfield had 14 with a 6lb,er,John Peterkin had a 4lb5oz,Andrew Peterkin had a 4lb 13oz,Dave Stewart had a 4lb 7oz,Bill Taylor returned a 7lb,er,Mark Morrison had a great day on the top with 31 fish,John Mckailjnr had a 4lb,er,Tom Hamilton had 11 andAlistair Davidson had 21 on small flies. The coarse competition was very slow and disappointing, especially after the previous week when no less than 4 double figure Carp to 21lbs were caught, which led to high expectations, but with the change of weather and thunder,it was not to be.But thats fishing, one day bumper days ,next nothing.
