Default Glenburn Fishery - Fairlie

After posting a question last night i decided to give it a go this morning so went and done 4hrs C&R

Right away you can see the improvments that have been carried out the boathouse has been fully renovated along with all the old platforms having been renewed a lot of the long grass has cut away making it easier to walk around the fishery

The old bait pond has been removed and bait fishing is now allowed in an area of the main water marked off with a rope and bhoys down at the far end giving around a third of the fishery to the bait anglers fly fishing is still allowed all over the fishery

The fishing itself was quite difficult due the the strong wind and bright sunshine pushing the fish down but a few fish where still breaking the surface i did find the fish after changing to a fast glass and fishing directly into the wind although i didnt catch any monsters the fish still put up a fair scrap as my pal can verify when one of them done a smash and grab on him resulting on an instant snap off i ended up with six and a few offers and even more follows with my pal getting two and i lost count of the amount of fish he either dropped or missed

The prices are in line with other fisherys in the area so if you have fished it before the take over or not for a while or just looking for somewhere else to try then give it a go

Cheers
Alba

Default got to try it for yourself

My lad and I visted Glenburn (Fairlie) yesterday and had a great day. The place it in great condition, long may it continue. Loads of fish on the surface, seriously when they switched on, the water was boiling all around. Not that they were easy to catch. They appeared to feeding on a tiny black beatle about the size of a match head. Right, now all I need to tie is a tiny foam beatle and make the hook invisible.
See you there, I'll be back.
