Default Harelaw Junior Flyfishers.
I will be running a junior flyfishers during the summer . Dates will be announced soon. Itll be attended by a qualified instructor and will probably be run over 4 consecutive sundays. Price will be £5 per child and an adult will have to accompany them to the fishery and be there too pick them up.

It will be an introduction to flyfishing and flytying, and run purely on a cost basis. They will get lunch and refreshments on the days and hopefully it will grow to forming a future Youth angling development scheme. They will be shown all the basics from setting up to casting and also an introduction to flylife and watercraft. I have a enough rods and reels for this but anyone with a good knowledge of flytying is welcome to come and teach. Last year Maharg from the forum taught the kids to tie and they all loved it.

All welcome and volunteers to help will be greatly appreciated.

Great idea Alex give me a shout nearer the time and if i am available i could do a bit of flyfishing or flytying for them

I will put a list at fishery this weekend , paynment can be made in advance or on the days attended. If anyone cant make it they will be fully refunded.

Great idea alex, need more youths introduced into the sport, and hopefully a few people will take their daughters along too, as more females introduced to the sport also would be good.
