Has anyone fished Rescobie Loch recently? I'm there for the very first time this weekend. I've heard there are some really nice fish in it. Just wondering whats the flies, tactics etc are? cheers

Our club fished there last week and had 27 rainbows for 71lb 6oz and 7 browns for 31lb 6oz plus 9 fish returned.
Best areas were just opposite the boat shed along the shore leading to the south shore and the Drimmie bay.
Flies were various green and black, humungus, black booby and damsel mainly on DI3 or DI7.
Best rainbow 7lb 8oz and browns went 7lb, 6lb and rest about 3lb to 4lb.

You wont go far wrong with that advice but do be prepared to come up in the water with buzzers and crunchers on a cortland blue or a slow sinker. good luck jim

I Fished it last Friday and had 6 fish on Green cormorant and black and green cat. Up the very top end of the loch, My boat partner had 8 fish with a brownie around 10lb and another brown at around 5lb. This was on slow intermediate and fast. They were all returned. Black and green were the colours of the day.
