Default come on fishery owners !......

ok why is it not one of the fishery owners do a season ticket for father and son ect? i have looked at loads that i visit with the veiw to buying a season ticket but then id still have to pay for my son ontop of that, yet i see loads of threads about getting the younger people into the sport? now my sons only 11 soon to be 12 but it seems a waste of time getting a season ticket when hes not on it too? so why dont you guys do a ticket to suit?

well until some where does a season ticket for father and son i will continue to go all over the shop with him and not stick to a main site as if im having to pay per visit then id rather he has the pleasure of trying out lots of new places, its just a pain doing a few hours drive some times when we have 3 or 4 places all with in 30 minutes of us

Why not take him wild trout fishing? It will give him a better grounding in learning rather than chase pets all day.

Save you a few quid also.

I've seen a few kids who get used to catching 2lb+ pets and who would turn there nose up at smaller wild fish.

We will work out any bespoke membership for anyone who asks.
A father & son ticket is possible.

Good point.
My sons 10yr,and if we fish places, they let us have a full day ticket, then we both fish to the limit, but come a season ticket, thats a different matter, but i cannot see why!!.I can fish as many times as i like(need to)to catch my yearly quoter,so why not with my son,as already said, keep the new blood interested, and lets face it from the fisheriey owners point of view,TODAYS KIDS,ARE THEIR FUTURE CUSTOMERS.So as long asd a child is say up to the age off 16yr,then why not have a open qouter ticket, the same off amount off fish will be caught, weather its 1 or 2 people.Fortunatly,i fish Barn Elms in Theale, and the owner has said,if i get a season ticket ,he can fish on it,but until he reaches 16,then he can work and pay for his own, fair enough.

At Lockwood beck, N Yorks where my sons and I are season ticket holders a junior can share the day permit of an adult ( they have to count their fish if killed to the total for the ticket).

They can also share an adult family members season ticket and again their taken fish count towards the total allowed per the season permit.

A junior season ticket=under 17yrs is only £55... that allows them to kill upto 30 fish in the season. That junior season permit is the best value for money of any available and the owner should be applauded for making it so.

I think there are 13 juniors with season permits an increase on last year of 2 or 3 I think.
