hoping to get to morton this weekend,never fished it before. Any info appreciated. cheers.

Morton is 22 acres it has 12 boats and about 1 mile of bank fishing set in woodland some 900ft above sea level, the depth of morton ranges from 4/5ft to 40ft it has large bays,a dam wall,weed beds,even an island it is stocked weekly with rainbows and blues from 2lb best last year

Fished it last Friday and it is hoaching with fish.
Very bright flat calm conditions with fish rising all over the reservoir.
Usually tricky conditions but the trout were being very friendly to the dry as various hatches were on the go throughout the day.
Used to be a big Morton fan in the late 80's as it's a beautiful place and was always well stocked resulting in plenty club outings.
The new management have spent a lot of money re-stocking and weeding which appears to be really paying off now.
Well done to the new owners and I urge any old Morton regulars to check it out and post back their results here.
I can't see you being disappointed!
