Default Glengavel Reservoir

Anyone got any contact details for Glengavel Res? Passed it today, couldn't actually see any roads to it from where I was but it's not that far away from me and I wouldn't mind fishing it.

All I can find out is a tiny bit of info about Glengavel Fly Fishers and they might have boats to hire.

The person who looks after the water is an ignorant ******* to say the least.

Read the Glengavel report.

I had already read that report, but it was dated 11/04/09. Being a year old, it made me wonder.

I did read your post from last year as well about the manager

There is plenty of trout in glengavel - Great wet fly water and well worth a visit.

Smile Re: Glengavel Reservoir

Check out Upper Avon Angling Association | Fishing in Scotland for all the details about how it's fishing & where to get tickets etc. It's now run by a club committed to providing good quality fly fishing for Brown Trout at reasonable prices - the club have there own hatchery & rearing ponds and the emphasis is on stocking with "Indigenous Avon Trout" though the club will stock the reservoir with Triploid Browns.
