Default Strachur.(near dunoon)

Anyone know if there is any good flyfishing to be had up near or around the dunoon area.

Dunoon & District Angling Club - DDAC - Game Angling In Cowal

Try here they seem to be a very well run club from what i have heard.

i remember having holidays at st catherines caravan park just round the corner from strachur. the little burns that run off the hills into loch fyne used to be full of little broonies. 3 or 4 to the pound. excellent fun with the right gear. now please remeber that that was 25 years ago so dont hold me to this information. good luck. jon.

Thanks for the info jon will have a wee look in the summer months as will be up and down to the van a few times

ive fished over there a few times and ive found the resivour to be good for rainbows .its run bye dunoon ad district angling assosiation .loch loskin also it is boat only and is just outside the town near hunters quay holiday park . loch tarzan is a bigger loch with wild brown trout ,both bank and boat fishing , purdies tackle shop in argyle street dunoon sells the permits to all the waters around that area . hope you found this helpfull . tight lines.

Thanks for the info okey dokey is dunoon reservoir the only fishery with rainbow trout.
