Default Glen Updates

March 28, 2010
Plenty of good fishing this week, with a very good average weight of around the 4lbs mark, with a good mix of fish over the 7lbs also and bigger fish having been caught and released.ian and Alan Patterson had 19 between them weighing in 4 for 15lbs 5ozs and heaviest at 4lbs 2oz.Jimmy George had a 5lb 10oz,Willie wood a 5lb 13oz,and Shamus Feighan had a 5lb 14oz.Dennis McBain had a good few hours with 12 fish and he had a good fish released over the double mark,Slater Scott had 22 fish,Alan Hay had 11,Dave Leitch also had a good day with 13 fish with a couple around the 7lb mark released, brian LLoyd had 10 as did John Ralph.Gordon Grant had 14 and Jimmy Rhind had 11.Peter Green had a really good day with 31 fish and a good mix of sizes among these into double figures, but was outdone by partner karen Gillies who had a stormer with 48 fish and again there was a great mix of size well into the double figures.Tony Hunt ,once again had a decent bag of fish on the coarse loch with bream and gudgeon and his first Carp of the year over the 2lbs mark.Names are still being taken for the Bank International on April 10th and also for the Airflo team and Individual competition on 24th April.Entries can be taken on the day also. These are both International events and the bank competition is a first in Scotland. The coarse competition is on 25th April and names are being taken for this.We are holding a casting club starting on Friday april 2nd from 7pm to 9pm and each fortnight ,thereon,it is open to all anglers who wish to touch up thier casting techniques and improve their skills all at a very nominal charge. It is not designed for beginners, but they would be most welcome to come along and have a cast, being a sport for everyone.
