Smile hillend reservoir

had a great day at hillend on saturday , water quite peaty coloured due to strong wind for previous week but weather turned nice on saturday . fished lures round woodside and had a few pulls here and there but when i got to the mound i found a large group of the recent stockies willing to play ball ! had a stack of fish in the next couple of hours kept a couple then debarbed and released the rest , black fritz best option as usual this time of year ! will have to remember to nip off dropper in future when releasing fish keep gettin it in my finger !

Talking pontoon score

read on forum the glow is stocking blues and tigers this week could it time for some multi-coloured trout action ? 15 on clyde valley bus on saturday and enough to pay bus ! 15 times 25 quid is 375 , there were 7 of us that day , would have been 8 had andy made it , if the bus cost 20 quid there would have been at least 23 on it , that would have drawn in 460 quid so bobby cost the club 85 quid and charged all his members a fiver more than he had to ! to be fair we would only have paid 13 quid each but 8 times 13 is 104quid so he still cost the club 29 quid . the other thing is i dont know how many on bus were pensioners and kids so he must have drawn in a fair bit less than 375 so to pay the bus and the permits he must have used some of the membership money already , if that keeps up which it will its only a matter of time till the game is up !!! he also cost himself 8 membership fees thats another 160 bucks down !

Fished hillend loch on saturday afternoon and caught a couple of rainbow trout, a busy fishery good value at 8 pounds for a days fishing.

i heard the "local idiot" clubbed a 17lb pike to death on saturday ..... just to show it off ..... this is not good for the club as all the pike anglers that fish the loch in the close season will not support the club and this just means a loss of revenue for our club ...... well done dennis lennon.
