Default Linlithgow loch today.

Linlithgow continued its excellent form today as me and mate fished from the bank.

I took my three and returned 4, including a brown and a bigger fish than any of my first ones i took. 3 fish for 11 1/2lb, best 5.5lb.

My mate took his three and also returned 4, a brown and a pike! 3 for 6.5lbs.

I returned a fish off at least 6.5lbs and missed and lost alot of fish, was great sport today. My mate started hitting the big fish after he had bagged three smaller trout and his bigger fish were all in the 5-6lb bracket. All fish, esp the larger fish in perfect condition. Alot of fish caught boat and bank, including a cracking 12.5lb fish!

I took most of mine on either a bloodworm or black buzzer on a sink tip and my mates were on a black zonker, bloodworm or small cat. One guy had ten on the zonker after spooning his first fish find it packed with fry!!

Fantastic sport today, really enjoyed it!

Here is my 5.5lb fish, on a bloodworm, perfect condition.

Was there on Tuesday had a really good day as well. 10 fish for the boat for 32lbs. Buzzers, cormorants, boobies. Heavy bags all round on the day we were there. Lovely wee water. Got good buzzer fishing wrote all over it!! Hope they manage to sort the water problem out though cause it wasn't a very healthy colour when we were there.

Major drainage works, and drain diversion works, over the close season, certain drainage pipes diverted by deep diving firm, which will reduce phosphates going into water, hopefully colour will go soon, however loch is still very eutrophic and weed will still appear late summer, but with a bit of luck colour will not be as bad as last year.
