Default Goldenloch Report March 15th

This was a harder week at the Goldenloch and it has to be remembered that it is still winter, however since Wednesday a light cold wind has been blowing from the east and the fishing just switched off, as the fish dropped down deep into the water, and as we have a little bit of weed at the moment in some places, this made the fishing really difficult, having said that by Saturday it looked like things were improving a lot as their was a nice bright sun warming up the water, but in the afternoon it got pretty cold again, catches in the early part of the week were really good and a lot were put back, on Wednesday however, Betty Henderson, Cowdenbeath, again showed the boys how to catch fish, getting a nice 3lber, Jim Drummond, Wormit, catching 2 on a yellow dancer, Friday was much better and started well with D Flavell, Abernethy getting 3 using a Dunkeld, Brian Stewart and Willie Robertson both Dundee and both catching 5 fish each returning all using Diawl Bachs and wet flies.
