Default ALLANDALE ANGER

Hi there all, something maddens me and saddens me in equal amounts and i witnessed it at ALLANDALE today. Firstly can i say i really enjoyed my day at ALLANDALE and caught a few fish and was really impressed with IONAS manner and the whole package BUT there were two anglers HOGGING the two HOTSPOTS where obviously the fish were stacked up and it seemed that every fish in the loch had moved in there. They moved in next to the anglers on the HOT platforms and as soon as they moved they were camped in there for the duration. I just found it terribly selfish and as i type this im still ******.Thats it NO MORE im more sad than mad though.WHY THO.

This is obviously a matter of individual taste, if i was on a water and found dozens of feeding fresh stockies on top of each other, i personally would move away and chase more educated fish. I prefer the challenge and dont mind struggling for one or 2. Its just a matter of personal choice. some guys need dozens some dont.

We will certainly debate it for eternity......

same thing happened yesterday where i was fishing 2 guys hogged the hotspots most of the day never bothered me as i still caught a few but speaking to other anglers who had fished the place for the first time had not even touched a fish left saying they would not be back so the stockiebashers have cost the fishery for there selfishness 3/4 fish is ample then move on in my eyes but never mind it gave them an oppurtunity to come on here and brag about there great skills as anglers

These so called anglers think they are the business, loads of back slapping, chests puffed out, most probably covered in badges, real anglers just laugh at them, they would be better of mackerel fishing.

Talking always 1 or 2 assholes

as i stated above it only takes 1 or 2 to be selfish buggers who are not only selfish they are not learning anything by constantly jagging all the fish time and time again. What they are doing is pissing genuine anglers off and people who arent as successful as them. Personally i enjoy my fishing and as wileybugger can vouch for me if i catch a few at certain place id rather allow someone else a chance of a hook up than stand and catch fish after fish all day.
Its a sad day but we see it all over at fisheries but some do have a strict policy of 4 or 5 at peg then move which is surely a safe and fair way for our fisheries to operate, lets hope common sense will prevail .
Up to you now Allendale Tarn

Aye Wileybugger, saw much the same attitude up at Willowgate on Saturday.4 hours of hogging the hottest 2 pegs on the fishery.Watched a lad down at Alderneuk recently,he fished his way round the water picking up fish all the way round, that`s the way to do it,it was an impressive performance to end up with 19 trout whilst the rest of us seemed to be all catching 3 or 4 apiece. Default Allandale

Hi Guy's it does not matter what fishery you fish there are always Hot Spots.
If you are late in getting on the water all theses spots are taken up. The Fishery owners should have a policy that you move up so many pegs after you catch a certain amount of fish .Fished Allandale the other week caught a few fish . Was disappointed with quality of fish there tails were in a bit of a mess.Still it could have been a one off occasion of bad stocking . The fishery made you very welcome

Ask the manager to add a 45 minute and move policy to the water and ask him to ask other anglers their thoughts.

If someone hogs a spot for hours, cant you speak to the management, and ask them to move them?, I have only seen this on my local water once where three anglers hogged a spot and left their rod bags, rods ect when going for lunch,
but was spotted by owners, and next time they appear, this will be pointed out,
surely not allowing this to happen, is a sign of a well run fishery.
Myself, if I found myself in a hotspot I would catch say four then move on, and try to get away from stockies.
