Hi guy's

My usual set up for Di-7 and boobies is ...... 2foot from fly line to first dropper and another 3foot from dropper to point fly ...... or 3foot leader for single booby.

Booby colour's will range from..... yellow/white, orange/white, coral/white, coral/yellow, coral/peach and white, pink/white, pink/yellow nice bright colour's for the top dropper

Point fly...... black/green, black/sunburst, black/green and red, olive/sunburst, olive/black, claret/yellow or just any plain colour's.

You could even try a midge-tip with glues/nymph's set three foot apart.

All fished nice and slow.

Lake location would be all along the Northshore, Green pool to Bill Smith's bay and the Gabion's.

All the best and let us know hoe you get on

Cheers lads for all the tips, i tried them all with no success! I ended up on the engine and asked my boat partner if he would change half way through and he said no.....great start to the day! He then said i know where the fish are so off we went to Gabions for 2 hours not a touch. Well nothing all day in fact untill eventually i talked him into bill smiths and he caught one and i blanked. I think this was due to the fact i couldn't cast my di-7 more than 20 yds as some people including my cousin Stewart were casting 40 yds then slowly pulling back. I don't seem to be able to cast well enough on the engine in fear of taking of my boat partners head.....wish i had! Thank's again lads, rod average was 3 and i wasn't the only one to blank. Roll on warmer weather lol
