Does anyone know if it will be fishable by opening day, not heard much about it. I know Carron's opening day is cancelled

One of our guys was up past it last Sunday and it was only frozen down part of the road shore and into lochend. It should have thawed more with the milder temps this week I would have thought. Apparently, there were fish rising everywhere right out into open water from Shear Point.

any word on North 3rd.thats only about 1mile away from carron,but a wee bit lower.???

Just back from a meeting of the Scottish Police Angling Association at the Lion & Unicorn
Thornhill and stopped of at the Lake on route.Water Ice Free - One or two troots rising,boats in the water. Quint was working on one of the cages. Douglas sporting his annual haircut. PS bring your slippers as he's just painted the shed floor. Should be Ok for the 20th.

More like 4 or 5 miles Jim, we pass the road end coming from the north side and it's still a fair bit after that, even as the crow flies
