Talking Coyle Water

Now to set the records straight on here, Coyle WILL be open for business as usual and as we read this message there is a brand new cabin being fitted out ready for the fishermen to use . Thje owner has said that all clubs and individuals who have booked on for 2010 season to contact him on 07808052955 to confirm booking and aid the transition from the old cabin being burned down

New cabin has new kitchen fitted and is now finished and apart from a few cosmetic adjustments to both interior and exterior Coyle Water Fishery is now open and ready for business. The new cabin is heated and and there is ample seating. Full menu is also available again.

The fly pond was stocked with 80 rainbow just before the big freeze on 15th Dec. and it was stocked with 70 decent sized rainbow on Friday 19th Feb.

The bait pond was stocked with 30 on 15th Dec. and another 30 on Friday 19th Feb.

Now for the bad news. Both ponds are still frozen but we fired up the fly pond aerator on Saturday and it started clearing the ice but there is a slight problem with the electricity supply and the sparky will be out on Monday to fix it, so hopefully the fly pond will at least be fishable in a week or two. I will update when there is any news on the frozen ponds.

There are also future plans to further improve the facilities, so will post when there are updates.

Hi Rob, it's me Tam

It's about 80% ice free now. Might just have to chuck a line out tomorrow and see how excited the bows are to see daylight. I'll report back as soon as I get home tomorrow.

Never got a chance to fish it today but Coyle Water is officially ready to go.

Fly pond is 90% ice free and will probably be totally clear tomorrow or definately Saturday. Bait pond still has quite a bit of ice but hopefully with the increase in temp and rain it should be ok for Saturday.

Seen quite a few fish breaking the surface today and I will definately be fishing it tomorrow.
