Anybody heard how the first few days of the new season have started on Corrib? They say a fair number of boats went out from Greenfields. I've heard a few were taken to wet flies.
What is the water level like now ?

Hard going at the moment, two trolling comps on opening day won with one trout each lake is very low, about summer level. Water temp still well down it will take a couple of weeks yet before the wets are any good. better off watchn the rugby and havn a few at the moment.

:Anyone i heard about that were out flyfishing blanked.. Tough enough on Corrib in April never mind February if you ask me.

Looking forward to fishing corrib this season. Hopefully the mayfly will be as good as last season, although i didn't do so well.

yeah corrib is slow.......... water is still ice cold, spent half day trolling last week end, blank...
cant really tell whats happening til duck fly appear....
