Thumbs up Walkerwood Trout Fishery

Just a note to state that Walkerwood is open and a lot of changes are happening, John is retiring in the next couple of weeks, after 22 years at the helm, and Pete Ross has been working hard to ready the water for his leadership.

A lot of the surplus vegetation has been removed and this work is ongoing, the water is fishing well and if this weather keeps up then it can only continue to improve over the next few weeks.

There is a tuition day this coming Sunday, 21st February, come along to have a look at the water, and to brush up on any casting faults, before the season really gets underway, a quick 30 minute fix to a couple of hours are available just drop me a mail or call me to make a booking, I will be on site from 9am

Hope to see some of you there

Chris

I'll 2nd that...

I have the cut's and bramble thorns to prove it too, a number of trees and bushes have been cut down, then chipped and spread over the pathways. There's been plenty of work done so far, which will continue right throughout the season. If you haven't been to Walkerwood for a few weeks you'll be very surprised and ultimately pleased by the work that as so far been carried out.

For the latest pictures see the link in my sig below...

Tuition day is on tomorrow after the delay caused by last weekends snow and bad weather, I'll be on the fishery from 9am and have a few bookings throughout the day, call over for a chat and to look at the changes that have happened with this water.

I will be available throughout the day to give lessons although it is better to check in advance first, lessons range from a 30 minute quick fix and upwards.

Hope to see some of you tomorrow

Chris

Tuition day on this rapidly improving water is this Sunday, I only have the afternoon available, so please get in touch if you are interested in a lesson.

Fishing wise the fish are moving around the water a lot more and after 2 good stockings since Pete took over there is a large amount of fish being caught, this is also giving the over wintered and resident fish a push, so a few bigger fish are showing themselves as well.

Emergers, buzzers and dries if this weather keep on, expect the mornings and evening to fish the best

Chris
