Default Barn Elms Ice-Breaker.

Argh, after planning to send my cheque in to book a place, I ended up forgetting - looks as though it sold out long ago.

Anyone going/been before? whilst it's a bit easy and a tad expensive it's a beautiful spot and really well kept.

Good luck to all who enter. J

Did you get in this year?

I'm in - just for fun. Never fished a competition before - hope this one is fairly informal and they'll hold my hand and guide me through all the rules.

Anyone fished it before? Would appreciate the low down on the format for the day.

What might be the best approach in cold water on the "first day" of the season?

Single fly only - no dog nobblers. Does that mean imitations only and anything that looks remotely like a Christmas decoration is a no-no?

I forgot all about it this year.

I imagine the rules are the same as the rest of the year, pretty much anything goes just watch hook size and dressed length.

I seem to remember that last years ice-breaker was hard work.
