Some folk dont think it should open but i think they are going ahead with it, a mistake imo, think visibility is at 7" at the moment and like pea soup, if i was a club and turned up to fish it i would not be happy and would think twice about going back, could cost them dearly.

I thought all that cold weather would have helped to clear the water but if clarity is only 7" after it being frozen it can only get worse as the water heats upme thinks ,If its as bad as you say Barker i agree with you they should keep it closed till they see whats going to happen

I did here this rumour a number of weeks ago. I advised my club secretary to contact them so that we could make alternative arrangements if necessary.

The birds, the **** getting washed in from surrounding roads etc do not help, needs a serious amount of work done to clean it up and that will cost a serious amount of money! imo its finished as a fishery until its done, shame!

We have a club trip there at the end of May, I think I'll wait and see how it progresses for a wee while yet

We fished it in October last year and the water quality was very very poor as were the catches.

I dont think our members will want to go if the same as last year. This is a shame as Linlithgow is the Best Buzzer Water in Scotland IMO.

I hope this clears up. I feel sorry for the Guys that run Lithgow

Derek

Dex, i think your right mate,if the water quality is as bad as it was in October no way would i want to go back and i dont think our members would go either

Its a pity as i`ve had some smashing days there when the water was in better order.

I think were all in agreement there Gus.....we should have a backup just in case it doesn't improve....

Dexie - how about "F---y" as a back up ? (waits for the sound of HUK exploding in the distance)..

I'd vote for Butterstone if its available
