Default Horsham area

Hi there,
Friend of mine lives in Horsham and has never been flyfishing. Thought I would take him out for the day and see what he thinks of it. Anyone know of a decent fishery near Horsham? all advice greatly appreciated.
thanks
Alex.

...I know the perfect place for a beginner, and its five minutes by car away!
Hazel Copse (hazelcopse if you want to google it for a review)
01403 822878 at Rudgwick RH12 3AF. Just turn up if no answer on phone....it has a large sign by the road.

It's open all year, and has to be the least expensive place to go, ok its not the most scenic, but great value, as a 2 fish ticket is around £12-15, then catch and release after that. He has some flies for sale and will give you advice when you turn up.

there is also a thread on here "fishing in surrey"

I live just down the road in Crawley.

I went to Hazel Copse yesterday & had 11 out, all on herl buzzers.
The fish are mostly in the 2 to 2 1/2lb range, but I netted an 8 1/2lb'er for an Irish chap yesterday & then released it for him.

I've fished the place maybe 20 or 30 times over the years. If you need any info, give me a shout.

I will go with Steve and Red.
Hazelcopse will suit you down to the ground
Buzzers are usually a good bet, even if the temps are not great.Otherwise i have found damsels, hummungus, cats and montana etc work well.
