I believe Traws opened on Monday but does anyone know if the boats started as well or is it bank only until March / April?

It's bank only on Traws till end of march, early April. Have you tried phoning the shop, they should be able to tell you better 01766540234.

I hear the great northwestern are looking for deck hands if your itching to get out

Fj you must be raring to go and i dont blame you im the same but going to wait til 20th march for brenig opening , fancy it ? itl be cold and the fish will be deep but its got to be done book a boat for you and del boy and we will meet you up there for breakfast etc. They normally put a few fish in for the opening day so you might get lucky i ve been told that the fish are around the 2lb mark already and will go well .

Del Boy just been round for his 3 morning coffee's!! We are planning on going opening day but He's waiting for a few dates for Troutmaster fish off's before he can commit.

I'm on leave from 14th - 28th March so will be up there a few times I would imagine.

Early season is usually slow and deep so I don't suppose the induced take method will work!!

The induced take is a finely tuned skill which takes years to perfect he he see you up there bud

Trawsfynydd lake fishing really well at the moment. Plenty of fish to be found in the top 3 feet of water. I was out last week and had atleast 21 in about 4 hours fishing, I counted two fish on the same time atleast 8 times!! The place was moving with massive hatches of black and olive buzzers, a phew of the fish caught were dripping with black buzzers in their mouths. Main methods was the washing line fished on a slow glass line with nymphs and dabblers + dries. If this fails to work than the famous blobs will almost certainly winkle out a phew fish.

Trawsfynydd is really worth a day on!
