Well I've just joined the forum so thought I'd throw in our visit to Bank House last Thursday
There was a thin covering of ice which was breaking up as we arrived, the aeriators were on and by 10am it was totally clear of ice. The water was rather coloured though, however that didn't stop the fish.
Hummungus or similar patterns accounted for five well conditioned rainbows, despite a bitterlly cold nort west wind all fish were caught on a sink tip with the fly twitched along the bottom.
