Thumbs up Burnhouse -many thanks !

Hi guys

My first fishing trip of 2010 was at Burnhouse today with another forum member, very cold wind, but the bright sun bought a welcome warmth.

Its pretty much ice free now although the far bank is still pretty much unfishable but the cabin side and dam wall is clear. The water is its normal peaty stain.

I killed 2 fish for 4 3/4 lb and released 2 for about 6lb ! missed a good half dozen bites Really good to get out again better still catch fish !!

we arrived to find the shooting party about to set off for there first drive i mentioned to Virginia and John i was after a crow or rook for fly tying .....................Later Virginia very kindly presented me with a fine feathered crow Now hows that for service many thanks
