DUNCTON MILL FISHERY UPDATE
As we come to the end of January I am sure most of us will be pleased to see the back of it.
Here ar Duncton the main lakes froze at the New Year and didn't reappear until the 22nd January. The ice got to 7 inches thick with a covering of 6 inches of snow, even Birch Lake succumed in the end with the ice getting to within 20ft of the inlet.
Needless to say we were very quiet with only the odd angler appearing. Those that did venture out had goos sport as long as they overcame frozen rod rings and frost bitten fingers.
In the end we had to have the drive dug out by the local farmer as the hill was so bad.
We are now fully open with good fishing on all the lakes. The fish are holding in deeper water with the best flies being Damsel and Montana.
We are still open to Day Tickets until the end of March, with special offers available on memberships throughout this time.
We look forward to Welcoming you to Duncton Mill in the near future and we will keep the log fire running to warm those fingers.
