I popped along to this relatively new fishery today after reading some of the stuff under the General section. If you are looking to be pampered with a lodge and manicured banks, this is not the place for you. However, if you want the chance in the middle of winter to be able to catch a few very fit trout, brown and rainbow, in great condition then it's worth a visit.
I had 3 browns, 2 rainbows and lost 2 or 3 others in a 5 hour session, using orange, orange/white lures, and also one on a PTN, all fished close to the bottom and slow.
At 30 quid for 4 rainbows (browns returned) then c and r, it's not the cheapest in the country, but it's only a few miles outside the M25, so pretty close to London. I guess Epping underground station is 2 or 3 miles away.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit, and Peter, the owner is a really nice fella who makes you feel welcome and has good tips on what to use etc.
All in all a good day out; I'll definitely be back.
Regards, Del.

Went there today (Monday) and fished it for the first time, had the place to myself. All the rest of the world working? Cold wind and sleet.
Some lovely browns, not large but very good looking fish, more like river browns than lake browns. Best method seemed to be little black things on a sink-tip floater.

Quite liked it, will be back. But do think it could do with a bit of a tidy up.
