Default Balado today

balado today was hard. My mate and i were first there and quickly found fish activity in the left hand corner if you are looking from the car park down the water. My mate was first onto the tactic and quickly had 12 fish, myself taking 4 and losing twice that anyway. We fished our way round the water but it was clear what fish were "up for it" were sticking to this particular area. We reckon its down to the cormorants, 10 at one point. They wont go near the car park and the fish get some respite from them. Theyv got a real problem going on there. With every place else still frozen the black b88888ds are loving it.
Today we fished till about half 2 and saw another one fish caught further to ours earlier, out of the same area. There were 9 rods in total. All our trout came in the first hour, nothing thereafter
All our fish took a slowly fished if not static olive tadpole.
Cheers
Scotty

If you were a fish would you be keen to take a fly if you were being harrassed all day from cormorants?

Spoke to guy at fishery the other day and he was telling me they are getting bother from the black birds!!

I would say they are getting hammered by them. All day they worked the water. Anyone who still subscribes to the theory they are endangered, take a trip to balado!!!!!!!!!!
