hi
got an unexpected day off tomorrow
fancy trying pennine trout fishery
anyone know if its open fri 22/01

was open last weekend Chris. Top lake almost clear bottom mostly frozen. fishing ok, plenty being taken on eggs, about 4 - 6ft down (well so i was told, i drew a blank ). i'm up your neck of the woods sat - fishing Maran Lakes with friend from Wakey.

hi thanks for info
was thinking of going to maran,but realy fancy trying pennine see if i cant hook into one of those huge browns or blues

i have to work sat and got something else on sun,
think i will take a chance and head over to pennine its only halfhour away for me

unless its changed its routine ...Pennine is open 24/7 364 (shut Christmas day)...yes 24/7 with floodlights
The areators will stop a complete freezeover...so there should be very little chance of not being able to fish.

it's changed - bought 8.30 or nine til dusk. cldnt ansa whether hours wld be extended later in yr - jobsworth cld only manage "he'd have to take on another operative" - we'll have to see if it happens

just been looking on website
it says its open 8-5 so gonna go give it a whirl
just checking my gear over and replacing leaders ect

cant wait to wet a line not been out since early dec

Have you checked with Martin that Maran is fishing ?, i spoke to him Sat/Sunday.......... and the lakes were frozen then, we've had mild weather this week so may well have thawd.......... but check if you havn't already.
