Last time I was there was April............1999. Caught a 10.5lb rainbow and received a nice 'Doubles Club' badge to celebrate. A lot of fisheries seem to have gone to the wall lately. Shame if Balado has joined them. Try the Kinross tourist info office, they might know whats happening.

you would be lucky ,, the tourist info is closed as its out of season until the new tourist season starts. as its in the council buildings and no one was there when i was last in apart from the council workers for council tax. last word was they were not sure where the tourist board was going to stay there or move into the new high school which is up towards Milnathort.

balado is still running as the lads at the fly tying club talk about it all the time , fish it regularly. one of the lads caught a 10lber late on last season on dry fly i think it was.

the tying club is tomorrow so i can check with the lads see whats what for you.

Fishery is definitely open. Went along today for a quick visit while in between jobs.
No ice on water or banks.
Maybe there myself on Sunday.

Easter Balado definitely open, not been frozen at all due to being spring fed, but the road into it was snow/ice bound.
