Chanced across the place last nightas i am working up in newark at the moment
The trout lake is called mosquito tucked away at the back of the fishery. Not that big sort of triangle shaped and has a steep bank down one side as well as plenty of reeds and brambles along the bank. The other banks are easily accessible.
Took the gung ho approach and got through them to reach the water which is very clear.
Good hatch of big buzzers and trout were rising now and again.
Was rewarded with a lovely condition full finned rainbow about 3lbs that took a while to land prob as i use a 7 piece 4wt travel rod.
As the light went plenty of fish were moving further out and as i had only fished for an hour and a half i was very pleased with the place.
Had the lake to myself quite interesting little fishery plenty of birds and fauna to keep you interested during the quiet moments.
Looking forward to fishing this again.
