Nice one Steve! Only three and a bit months to go

Been meaning to get up there for a walk across the Tarn Did you have a go?
kept phoning the field centre to see if the roads were navigable, but couldn't get an answer

Pretty as a picture postcard, but I prefer it when it's fishable.

Excellent photo Steve, do you know how often the Tarn has frozen over completely ?

It freezes over on a regular basis Regan, for substantial periods too! I know it froze over last year for a month or so, and last winter was nowt special. It's high up, and very exposed. Brrrrrrrr....

I much prefer your photos Rob, it looks far more inviting.
They are so similar it's uncanny.

Scratch, thanks for that, although I have fished it once (in August), as a soft southerner I forget you get proper weather up there.

Terrible place. Don't know why anybody bothers fishing it to be honest. It might as well be frozen over for all the effort it takes to catch a single sodding fish.

Better to stick to somewhere like Stocks in my opinion.....
