Supposed to be going sat, weather permitting, apparently anglers have been catching even in the cold, a mate on here had an 8Ib one just the other day but i think you,ll always catch on there, ck

Hi
I fished it last Sunday- it was ice free but raining, windy and cold. I had 7, biggest about 8lb, lost 3 and missed a few takes. All were on apps bloodworm fished slow. I was pleased as there were a few on the bung and a few on lures who struggled.
Cheers

A friend and i fished Pennine today, VERY, VERY cold indeed. We fished the bottom lake (dam wall) due to the amount of people fishing the top lake. The fishing was very slow initially, but then things got going, i fished a sink tip line with a Dawsons Olive pulling 3 fish in 20 min, 5lb-8lb. Total bag was 15lb. I then switched to buzzers to land a further 4 by lunchtime. My friend fished a single olive buzzer under the indicator (4-6' deep) and also had 7 fish. He was only fishing 6-8' off the bank!!!! It must shelve off? Ice free, with the usual hard fighting fish, not everyone's cup of tea, i know, but worth the trip in these cold conditions.
