does anybody have any info on this fishery, and is it worth giving it a go over the christmas break, weather permitting.

I've always had good sucess on there. I don't know if the weed have died back yet but it holds some good fish. The weather has been bad Rochdale way this last week and the lane to the place is bad on a good day. Do a Google search for Clegg Hall Fishery and you'll get Mick the baliff's mobile number, best to phone to see if iced up. It doesn't go any more than 5ft in depth but has plenty of natural feed. Dry line and nymphs though the trout will come to dries.

I live about 7 miles away- was there Sat Morning and iced over. Best to give Mick a call to see what the score is.

I am new to fly fishing but always manage to catch at Clegg Hall - I was there a week ago and managed 3 Rainbows in 2 hours on apps blooworm - there were around 7 on and all had fish. I was there early December and they were still taking dries. Not sure about the depth- think it's deeper than 5 ft though.

I am thinking of fishing Pennine tomorrow - depending on the weather.
