Default Glen of rothes xmas report

Despite overnight snow both lochs remained ice free which allowed 26 anglers to fish in the invite competition,which is a day out to our anglers in appreciation for their support over the year.trhough some showers of snow anglers did enjoy their day and plenty of fish were caught,with the eventual winners being,1st Ally Simpson snr with 2 fish for 11lbs 7ozs,2nd Bob Alexander with 2 fish for 10lbs 7ozs, and 3rd John McGovern with 2 fish for 9lbs 11 ozs.A very special mention to 9 yr old Owen Laing who in cold weather fished away and had 13 fish and weighed in his 2 and got a special award for his efforts.Plenty of good fish were caught,John McGovern a 6lb 12oz,Bob Alexander a 5lb 14oz,dave vennard with a 4lb 1oz,Ally Simpson a 6lb 11z,Ally Simpson jnr a 6lb 3oz,Andrew More a 4lb 9ozs fish.Most received prizes in th4e raffle and enjoyed a welcome lunch and some nice warm drams.On behalf of everyone at the fishery we would like to wish all our anglers who have supported the fishery this year a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous new year and look forward to providing you with first class service and fishing again next year, see you all soon.We are closed Christmas day and new years day only.
