Default Bushleaze

A good mornings fishing at Bushyleaze yesterday.
A lovely chilly and misty start to the day set the scene at the lake but no sign of the fish for the first couple of hours over by the summer house.
I decided to walk back to the boat house to warm my toes and stopped off at the small bay along the drive.
2hrs later I had bagged up with 2 nice rainbow just under 5lb, 1 just under 4lb and 1 at just over 2lb
All really good fighting fish, I missed several takes and also lost 1.
Chap just down from me took out a lovely 7.5lb rainbow!
Happy days

Hi Bob
I took all 4 on the same olive damsel size 12 Fly Fishing Flies - Damsel Nymph (it's a bit chewed now!) slowish retrieve near the surface, floating line. Had several takes on the drop and missed the first few because I was not watching the line carefully enough.
I also tried a floating fry and had a couple of rises but no actual take. ALso tried a large black nomad earlier with no interest, but I suspect that might also have worked once they started to take.
Hope the weather holds up for you
Cheers

Fished it at the end of November and had 5 nice fish up to 4lb 2oz.
Best fish came to an Apps bloodworm fished on a dropper above a small goldhead damsel and fished on the drop - floating line, about 14 feet of leader.
A couple came to a small cats whisker fished on the point of a slow intermediate, including losing a really nice 'bow around 6 lb.
Lovely clear water and sings of fish feeding throughout the day
Good luck to everyone who's there over the holiday
