a single small red shuttlecock (size 12 or 14) usually does the trick at Graiglwyd. Failing that a team of buzzers or crunchers do the trick but you need to keep them small.
r ian - I usually go there with the mad butcher in the Jamaican hat so I've probably seen you about. The butcher was up there last friday (I had to work) and he tells me it was hard going but he did manage his 4 eventually - probably immediatley after Huw stocked!!!

My other mate Del Boy managed 1. He was getting loads of plucks/grabs and put it down to the tail on his point fly being too long. turns out that the hook on his blob on the dropper had rusted away and broken at the bend

He worked it out after losing his 7th fish - muppett!!
I've never managed a double there but from what I've seen I think you need to get through the smaller stuff to get down to the monsters.
It's a very well run fishery but it's too small for me - I'd much rather be out on a boat on Brenig - but it does feed the habit whilst the ressies are closed.
One tip worth noting is NEVER, EVER, open your buttie box in front of Huw!!
