Default Alderneuk

Hi there fished alderneuk today when we arrived it was a flat calm greeted with the usual nice welcome set up my rod with floating line and indicator and within half an hour landed 2 and mssed half a dozen the fish were between 3 and 5lb and super fighting fully tailed trout fished the rest of the day changing tactics ended up with 7 released and missed a dozen at least highlight of the day was me getting my frst tiger trout around 4lb must say the indicator was the tactic as the fish wernt in a chasing mood so was a very enjoyable day and cant wait to get back and thanks willie and wilma again your hospitality was and is second to none and your cake was lovely cheers guys

Yo Rook, a big thanks for the pointers on double hauling, I've been practising, and i've only caught the back o' my heed two or three times!! Watched a master at it on Sat. Made it look easy peasy, and he nailed 10 spanking rainbows into the bargain, only 1 of 10 under 4lb, 2 nearer 6lb, Dougie nailed 7 as well, mostly on weighted nymphs and rabbits, Friday saw 2 anglers share a 13 fish catch, including that beutiful 7lb Brownie I mentioned in another post, the "slam" still not done! come on you top notch anglers, surely one day someone will strike it lucky! Sunday was a hard day, well done Humungus and troutnabout for sneaking out 13 between you, and hard luck Stuart on losing that big guy!! Rabbits top fly again, Monday was a tough one as well, stupike, teek and Andy managed 9 between them, mostly on wee stuff, a spanking 6lb plus to Stupike, and big congrats on being the 1st to catch one of those elusive Brookies, Wilma tell's me it was simply stunning looking!! Sorry the hen pinched your piece, I'll give you 1st call on the cape!! Lovely 5lb Brownie to big Tam on Sunday on a bloodworm, lovely silver colour. Trout still hammering fry in the shallows. Milder, wet weather forecast for the next few days, any settled weather pattern would be much apprieciated!! We went from -1 day time temp's on Friday to 6 degrees on Sunday. All the very best, Wilma and Wullie.
