Default Alderneuk report

Hi all, winters officially here! Still, rather have the cold than all that rain, water clarity back to it's clear self and the fishing's been excellent this last two weeks, trout in spanking winter colours. Fish have been caught all over the fishery, shallows being particulary good mornings, sight bob and buzzers, diawl bachs or beaded nymphs fished shallow been effective and twitched nymphs, beaded or otherwise very good to, rabbits and minkies figure of eighted on an intermediate top lure's, even been some fry bashers nailed on big lures rolly pollyed back at speed, that makes for an exciting ripping take! Some top catch's as well, a near miss for Simon on the slam front, once again the Brownie let us down, in an impressive 11 fish haul, best 5lb, with a stunning 4lb plus blue and a real beut of a tiger at 3lb 8oz, all on rabbits, danny had a good day on the wee stuff, beaded nymphs, and managed a landed 7 to 5lb plus and lost a few to, best fish of the week to j.k on a olive rabbit at 6lb 8oz, 4 nice fish to scott on various methods, including a home made fluro blob. Stalking opportunities back with the clear water, log burner soon to be installed in the fishing hut, yeehaa!!! no more chillblain's! we're still on winter hours, closed tuesday and thusday, open all other's, christmas/new year closing times as follows, closed from tuesday 22nd dec till tuesday 29th dec. open 30th dec. closed 31st, then open right through new year break. any queries contact 07901 602020, hope to see some of you forum guys soon, all the very best, Wilma and wullie.
