Default Linlithgow Loch - Water Clarity

Has anyone heard if the water clarity has improved at Linlithgow?
Our clubs last visit was cancelled due to the water clarity - reports from the fishery and SEPA suggested that it was due to an Algae problem related to the weed dying off combined with an unusually warm spell for the time of year.
Cant the weed be controlled as the season progresses?

word from the horses mouth is that the water remains in the same condition as it has been for last 3 months they have even had the sleuice gate open and it has still not cleared hopefully frosts will help as the place is spot on and full of fish ps best value in lothians

Hi Ridgeback - Got to agree - when its fishing well the Loch is hard to beat for both the fighting ability and the condition of the fish. Lets hope the Loch recovers for the start of the new season.
