Evening Gents (and Ladies)

My brother and myself fished FarmoorII on Tuesday 17 Nov from 09.30 thru till 11.30. I am on late shift this week and fancied a cheeky couple of hours before heading off, and thought a couple of fish would be good for the freezer!

We fished on the West Bank opposite the middle carpark and set up with two Coral Fritz Booby Blobs on a 12 ft Leader and a DI5. The dropper was 6ft from the point btw.
First cast, Our Kid had a 3lb "Bow" in fantastic nick with a tail like a shovel!
My 2nd cast I took similar and the pattern was set for the next two hours.
We were casting out across the wind, allowing the line around 20/25 secs to sink then a pull and a slow figure of 8, repeated all the way back, most takes coming around 15 ft out on the weed edges.
We took 10 fish between us (5 apiece) in two hours, and lost a couple apiece too

All were in fantastic condition, all fought really well, and the total bag weight was 10 fish for 25lb13oz!! the biggest fish being 3lb06oz you can see the average of around 2lb05oz is impressive!!
It was a bright, breezy day, wind from the S/SW @ about 12/15 kts temperature was about 13 or 14 degrees and the sun was bright and very little cloud in evidence.
I have been a huge fan of Farmoor for the 4 years I have been Chucking Fluff and I fish it reasonably regular, but this short session was way beyond anything I expected or have experienced at this time of year.
So, in short, if you are thinking of it.........DO IT!!
I shall be back in a week and a half's time when on lates again!
