Default High Newton, a little gem.

Hi, has any one fished High Newton in Cumbria recently, could do with a recent update if possible off someone please, cheers ck.

Hi I fished it last week i blanked and so did a lot of others. having siad that this is a great fishing Lake and i usualy catch fish. Magnificent viwes and usualy great fishing with superb fish in great condition. You will not be disappointed.

i live a few miles from high newton and the way the weather has been around here this week the fishery would be unfishable, the forcasts not good either.

A few miles away you lucky person, consider this my favourite fishery, been fishing here for about 4 years now, its a pity its a 200 mile round trip for me.

The weather might scupper it especially if its windy, but usually there is an area on the fishery that you can still cast well from, cheers, ck.

I suppose i take it for granted really. It's got to be one of the best top of the water fisheries going. There are some shelted little bays, but beware of a east wind as the fish go down and won't look at owt.
