I fished it on the last day of September, which was warm. I found that fine fluorocarbon 3 to 4lb bs and size 16 F flies , shipmans & shuttle cock buzzers worked. Had odd fish on size 16 hares ear & buzzer & size 12 damsel on earlier trips. There was quite a rise to microscopic flies late on & I did not get a take! I found on another water, during October a size 20 caenis dry or emerger to be succesfull when difficult to spot what they're sipping down, and used a bigger dry as a sighter. Not fished much myself in colder months so good luck.

i fished it with a friend last sunday. we took 3 browns and a rainbow. browns on a daddy, balck ant, (1lb!! and two tiddlers), rainbow on a green/white buzzer - 1.5 lb. Best day we've had there this year, plenty of fish rising. Your a brave man to go this weekend tho, weather lokks grim.
