Default Wimbleball, Kennick

Depending on the weather i have got to escape from the madness of being stuck indoors tommorrow and i know these two reservoirs have had there seasons extended to the end of November, has anyone recently fished either of these and how are they fishing.

cheers

Steve

Hi there Steve, I've fished Kennick a couple weeks ago and blanked for the first time, 7 hours and to top it off snapped my rod tip as I was leaving looking through the catch returns a lot of other people did to (blank that is, not break their rod tips.

love the reservoir though.

how did you get on yesterday?

Regards
Steve

Hi Steve,
I didnt get down to Wimbleball until 1pm and a nice strong wind was blowing towards bessoms, tied on a size 12 black bibio hopper and walked along the bank up past the Bird hide to where the woods start, on my 3rd cast about 15ft from the bank and completely suprised me a very nice brownie of around 2lb took the hopper and was quickly landed and released without net, from then onwards nothing at all, a lot of cold water running into the res.
cheers
Steve

Hi Steve, 2lb Brownie sounds good, I had very small brownie at Kennick a few weeks ago, only about 8" but was lovely to catch. not been to Wimbleball yet, but will visit next season for sure.

cheers
Steve
