Was down with a mate yesterday,,,excellent 4 hours,,

landed 6 really good fish and dropped a load full,,

excellent qaulity trout,,,biggest was 8lbs that i caught for a wee lad who was with his old man,,,

my mate got 5,,,,the smallest being about 4 lbs and he returned a biggie about 8 or 9 pounds,,,,

really good fighting fish and hit you like a train,,,

well worth a visit lads,,,,took all my fish on a dancer and a pinkie lure all on a cortland blue

Hi,
This fishery is about four miles outside Kilmarnock, close to the village of Moscow. Google for Cowans Law.

Hope this is a help.

Hi have to agree with fish4fun on this one spent all day saturday fishing Cowans Law and to be honest wondered how a loch of that size could fish so badly giving that it is stocked weekly. I tried everything to temp a fish with no joy , dries, wets ,lures , buzzers in fact almost everything i had in my boxes got a run out . Then i got one on a top hat buzzer that was it for the day i am not a stockie basher but did expect to get a few pulls and takes . I give credit where it is due the place is very well kept and Jay makes you feel very welcome but the fishing side has put me of returning .

You have got to remember most fisheries are hard going this time of the year . If I go to a fishery and find it hard going I dont blame the fishery .
I went to Borland down at Cumnock yesterday and only caught 5 fish all day which is very poor for Borland as its overstocked to say the least . Im not a great fisherman by any means but I usually hammer fish at Borland .
Maybe your tactics , depth you were fishing etc was wrong don't judge a fishery on one visit especially this time of year mate .

Rgds

Stephen .
