Well the chances are it will be pretty quiet as the Tarn crew are at the new howwood for a wee comp.

hi, best fish the top half of the fishery(furthest away from the hut) on both sides(but the bung tends to fish most places). lure, yellow dancer, black rabbit is doing alot of damage the now(on intermediate, slow figuer of eight). anythig black really. bung, millenuim bug,3 foot down, lime green head with a small tail. (iona will have them) and a blob a couple of feet lower that the milenuim bug, say orange and green is good.
buzzers are doing well, try pink or blakestone or black n silver.

tightlines
Ali

Allendale is a small fishery, with freindly staff, but the fish tend to taste "muddy" i personnally would go to Selmmuir just a couple of miles along the road, nicer setting and better fish

Hi Alec,

I fished there for four hours on tuesday, caught 1 had a few offers but not complete takes all on olive damsel, there were a couple of guys fishing bungs and had a bit more success than I had.........I noticed they were fishing yellow blobs and orange blobs...............However there was a regular there and was getting a fish every 15-20 minutes he was on the other side from me so did not get a chance to talk.

As I was leaving I spoke to the girl who runs the fishery re; the regular having all the success she knew him well and said he fishes "Skinny Damsels"
He buys them from her shop and takes a pair of scissors to them, leaving very little on the tails...................Hope this helps
P.s. I think the quality of the fish is good and the people are very friendly....
