Default loganlea edinburgh

loganlea first i must say i was very dissapointed with this water i booked the water for the last club outing on past visits it was great sad to say this time 11 anglers only 14 fish between them ok not all great anglers but at least 6 decent anglers fish were all around the 2lb mark except 1 at 5.5lb were it came from was beyond me when we finished angling the manager said to us what do u expect i stocked it 3 weeks ago i was raging to say the least i managed to bag up with my 4 and i was on the boat with the devil another forum member and good angler he only managed the big fish i also had a few pulls and dropped 1 or 2 so all im saying if you intend fishing this water id pay caution to his stocking policy thanks and it wasnt the rabbit

Davy I fished Loganlea all summer and with great results on the dry fly , The manager stocked it 3 weeks out of every 4 with lots of fish so I cannot understand why he has changed his stocking policy Its not really fair to the winter anglers if this is the case , I fished it 2-3 days a week from June to september and only blanked twice and some days I had 8 or 9 fish on CDC emergers.

The place was alive with trout in June and July , It's not fair to the winter boys to stop stocking at this time.

"when we finished angling the manager said to us what do u expect i stocked it 3 weeks ago"

I think this statement is what Davy is mad about.

You managed 4 fish, hardly a sh1te day though eh? Maybe you have been spoiled on all those puddles that you tend to frequent.

I guess the guy probably doesn't get the amount of traffic through his fishey during the winter/close season hence the reduced stocking.

No reason to slate the place.

Would you have been any happier catching the same amount of fish if he had told ye he stocked it the day before..... If its reached the point where fish that have only been in the water three weeks are too hard to catch...then maybe you should look at yourself first and foremost.
Loganlea has got more fish in it than water....Every water has an off day occasionally, its part and parcel of the sport.
