Thumbs up Aldernuek

I fished Adlernuek on sunday 1st november with ma pal george, to say it was wet was a understatement 4hr ticket and it never stopped, apart from the rain we had a cracking session i caught 3 put 2 back, one i put back was atleast 7lbs, and george caught one, plenty of pulls and follows, the weather just made it hard work, still a cracking place to fish, and the fish are first class, pull like trains and are the nicest fish i have come across, fully finned and great condition, thumbs up to wilma and wullie for having this little gem of a place.

hi all, many thanks for all your kind words, it's nice to know that our efforts are apprieciated, being anglers both ourselves, we genuinely love what we do, it's a fantastic feeling when you are on hand to net a special fish for someone and see the real delight in their face, it's the best job in the world at times! this looks like a good spot for a fishery report me thinks, sorry for the lack off in the last couple of weeks, some jammy git was of in Spain, on a Carp and Catfish mission! Been some fantastic sport to be had recently with the mild weather, heavy rain and coloured water this last few days has made the fishing a bit tougher, catches of note, 16 fish to 5lb+ for geordie Gordon, Another near miss on the "Slam" for Stupike, 10+ fish to 5lb+, Two Jims from Dalbeattie had a great day with 16 fish including 2 6lb+ bows, Ross had a 6lb Tiger and a 6lb+bow, A spanking 8lb+Bow for Geordie Laurance, and many, many more, lure guys doing best, rabbits, fritz's, blobs, minkies, cats whiskers all working, buzzers and diawl bachs catching and still fish being nailed of the top, netted a beutiful 5lb 8oz bow today for Andy on a deerhair sedge, and a lovely 4lb on Monday for gerry on a sedgehog. Also a 3lb tiger today on a c.d.c. been watching the trout herding the roach fry into the margins and slamming them, a fantastic sight! looks like the mild weather is set to continue for a spell yet, so come on down and fill yer boot's, a wee reminder of our winter opening times, we close tuesdays and thursdays till march, open eight till late all other days, p.s I have photographic evidence of country "dry flee" Joe using a blob! shockeroneeee!! Best fishes to you all, Wilma and Wullie.
