Default Rutland

Andyinthewatford and myself took a boat at Rutland for the day yesterday 28th october, the sport was good if a little patchy. We started just past the sailing club bay fishing close to the bank next to a large weedbed, i had 2.5lb brown and three rainbows to around 3 lb, Andy had a couple of rainbows to the same weight, all the fish falling to a white minkie with the tail trimmed to try and match the many sticklebacks present. we then moved to browns island again fishing tight to a weedbed and immediately having a brown each mine going roughly 3.5lb and Andy's being only slightly smaller at around 3lb the sport then died completely, this was around 1400 hours and we caught nothing for the rest of the day despite changing location several times. It seemed that the action died off for the two fishermen we spoke to at around the same time. All the fish caught were in mint condition with the exception of one slightly pike damaged rainbow, and all were returned alive to hopefully bring as much pleasure to others as they gave us.
