Glen of rothes trout fishery
With a good week of weather this week fishing was sublime and plenty of fish were taken and among them Blues gave anglers some really good change of sport.With the temperatures dropping down a little the fish are fighting hard and not prepared to give up easy.Buzzers such as Okey Dokeys in lime and white have done very well,with cdc,s still taking fish in October!White frotzs and lime and black have been very popular colours and giving good results.Slater Scott landed the best of the week with a 10lb 12ozs fish among his bag,George Davidson Of Inverness had a nice 6lb fish,Willie Simpson had a 7lber,Tom Anderson had 2 over 6lbs,Alan Hodgetts had a 5lb 10oz,Mike Matthews a 5lb 1,Philip Green a 5lb 7oz,Michael reid a 5lb 8oz fish and good bag catches were had also with plenty of fish to the bank with willie Petrie 21,Phil Sinclair 11,David Nesbitt 10,Fraser Patience of Inverness 13 as did David Davey of Lossiemouth and james McNeil on 13,Brian McFadden had 17,Ian Munro 12,Jimmy Munro 12,Scott Hadden 12,Scott Burness of Buckie had 21,Brian Christie had 43,Jim McIntosh 14,John Adams jnr of Airdrie had 11,Julian Land 12,Jim Duncan with 14.Even though the weather is on the change good fishing should continue with fish feeding hard on fry and with the nights closing in aswell fish should be very active as usual.
