Default Rothiemurchus

Hi all,

I am off to Aviemore on Friday for a week and have already planned to fish Rothiemurchus, but was wondering if there was anywhere else in the vicinty that was worth fishing, and is also open whilst I am up that way?

Any pointers would be most welcome

Neil

theres also Mill of Kellas at Elgin, or Dunlichity near Inverness or Stoneyfield Lochs near Invergordon all of which are worth a chuck!

I dont want to point out the obvious but the Spey?

Rothiemurcus is very commercialised, i was fishing the spey last year but the sun was splitting the trees so we decided to kill a hour or two at the fishery watching out for the osprey.
We decided when we got there that if we had to pay to watch for the osprey we might aswell fish.
I was fishing one pond and when i turned around to fish the other pond and cast to the other pond a small rainbow whizzed past my ear.
Stockie bashing at it's best but i am sure i will not upset anyone telling you that.

The clay pigeon shooting at Rothiemurcus is excellent but book it now in advance.

If fishing i think i would try glen of rothes.
